"I take great pride in being a lawyer because the law is the most fundamental tool of our great democratic society. I became a lawyer because I have always been a student of American History and the U.S. Constitution, so it was natural for me to become a lawyer.  It is a privilege to represent people in their time of need and to ensure that the law protects their rights. Whether you are a lawyer in the courtroom, a boardroom or someone's living room, the people you represent look to you for protection, guidance and direction. Understanding the trust a client puts in you confirms the pride, prestige and privilege that I believe is embodied in my profession."
